SPW News & Notes (01/14/13)
-SYKO & Son of Syko won the first ever SteeltownProWrestling.ca Tag Team of the Year Award. Congratulations to the current SPW Tag Team Champions.
-Despite a snow storm and poor driving conditions, SPW returned to the Selkirk Memorial Hall on Friday January 11th to film several episodes of its upcoming television series. A snow storm didn’t stop SPW’s great fan base from coming out for a night of wrestling action.
-SPW Officials awarded Cory Diamond the SPW Lifetime Achievement Award after announcing that he was retiring and that 2013 would be his final year in wrestling.
-A packed house was on hand at the Casa do Minho Portuguese Centre on Saturday January 12th for SPW’s second TV taping of the weekend. The fans in attendance enjoyed every second of action as they were loud and boisterous all night long.
-Some minor injuries to reports from the weekend include plenty of cuts and bruises! MARIUS suffered cuts to his thigh and finger after a pair of hardcore matches, Robbie McCallister suffered a bloody lip, James Beaver suffered a bloody nose, while Jethro Hawg suffered a cut to his forehead that was opened up on more than one occasion along with a chipped tooth following a Cowbell Match.
-With two TV tapings complete, SPW officials now enter into post-production to edit episodes of SPW TV. The debut of the SPW TV series kicks off the road to SPW’s 5th Anniversary Show.
-SPW’s live event schedule takes them to Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes on February 8th, Arborg on February 9th and Morden on Marche 8th.
