The only championship that has eluded him has been the SPW Tag Team Championships, something he has never even challenged for. This despite semi-regular tag team matches with Rob Stardom over the course of the last 5 years against the likes of Austin Aries & Jon Cutler, Chi Chi Cruz & Raven and Danny Duggan & Tommy Lee Curtis.
When asked about the SPW Tag Team Championships MARIUS told SteeltownProWrestling.ca that they aren’t currently on his radar, concentrating on being SPW Provincial and AIWF Canadian Champion, but that sooner than later it’s something he plans on doing. Winning the SPW Tag Team Championships would make MARIUS a SPW Triple Crown Winner, a feat accomplished only by La Sombra thus far.
After defeating “Misfit” Mike Mission to become a two-time champion MARIUS successfully defended the championships on the Paddlewheel Queen against Shadow Xtreme and at the Kerry Brown Memorial Tournament against AJ Sanchez. It’s a near certainty that MARIUS plans on having a long title reign but with such a competitive roster we doubt it will surpass his reigns as SPW Heavyweight Champion. After 99 days as SPW Provincial Champion during the first go around he was felled by Mike Mission and there are plenty of quality challengers ahead looking to claim the gold.
