-SPW presented its final show of year, Christmas Catastrophe, on December 1st. Rob Stardom won the Christmas Battle Bowl match earning himself a championship match in 2013 for his troubles.
-Speaking of Rob Stardom, a new fire has been lit under him since briefly holding the SPW Heavyweight Championship in September. With the taste of gold fresh in his mouth, he seems determined to re-capture the SPW Heavyweight Championship.
-Jethro Hawg retained the SPW Heavyweight Championship against James Beaver while MARIUS retained the SPW Provincial Championship against La Sombra. SYKO & Son of Syko retained the SPW Tag Team Championships and Chip Fletcher retained the SPW Hardcore Championship.
-SPW President Dale Barnett was in quite a mood backstage at Christmas Catastrophe, shaking things up with the talent and making last minute changes to the line-up. Barnett has always been committed to giving the fans the best show possible.
-Buddy Wiser was a huge fan favourite at Christmas Catastrophe. Who knows what 2013 may hold for the heavyweight grappler?
-After a singles hardcore match, involvement in the Wild Women of SPW match and a ringside brawl during the Christmas Battle Bowl a new rivalry may have been established between Chip Fletcher and Mad Man Muir. Does Muir have his sights set on the SPW Hardcore Championship?
-SPW kicks off the 2013 schedule on Friday January 11th in Selkirk and Saturday January 12th in Winnipeg.
-Expect a former WWE Superstar to make his SPW return early in 2013.
-SPW officials are looking to create a new weekly television series starting in the New Year. More details are to come. In the past SPW has produced weekly series’ including SPW BlogTV, SPW iTV and SPW SHOWDOWN as well as 2 internet pay-per-views.
-All roads will lead to the SPW 5th anniversary show in April 2013. Expect the 5th anniversary show to be a major celebration.
-Voting will commence shortly to determine the 2012 SteeltownProWrestling.ca Wrestler of the Year.
